Very mixed experience We rented a car twice with Modan Rent a Car in Nairobi, with very mixed experiences. First time, we rented a small SUV for two weeks. Good car, despite > 150.000 km on the display. Everything was perfectly arranged, Modan was flexible with the deposit, we had a good communication before and fluent pick-up and drop-off. 5 stars! Our second car rental (one day rental) was a lot worse: the day of the car rental, Moses informed us, barely 6 hours before the start of the rental, that our reserved car (a confirmed reservation) was not available, and that we should choose between a cheaper (but for us inappropriate) saloon car or a much more expensive Landcruiser. I.m.o., a decent car rental company should give an upgrade without extra costs in case of overbooking. The car was delivered 2h later than asked, and high delivery costs were added to the rental price - these costs were only mentioned just 15 minutes before the car was to be dropped! In response to these additional costs (that almost doubled the rental price), I had an unpleasant phone call with Moses to negotiate on these extra costs, during which he even threatened to completely cancel the car rental. Not done! 1 star.

Very reliable and responsive company. I got a clean, new and reliable vehicle. The reception we received was very warm and absolutely welcoming. I would recommend this company to anyone else.

Prado Was Perfect The booking process was very smooth. I got a quote and an invoice, which I paid at the time of picking up the car. The car was delivered on time. This SUV had no issues and performed perfectly. It met all my car needs. Moses was very responsive to my messages both during the booking process and while I had the vehicle.
